SAY NO TO SEXUAL VIOLENCE IN CONFLICT

Say NO to Sexual Violence in Conflict
Make Women Count for Peace!

Women hardly ever fight the world's wars, but often suffer the most and are targets of systematic sexual violence. And yet, they are barely present in peace negotiations.

Through the month of June, senior UN peacekeeping officials will open their doors to women peace activists in more than 20 countries to hear their concerns and recommendations for peacebuilding.

The Open Days for Women, Peace and Security mark the 10th anniversary of landmark UN Security Council resolution (SCR) 1325, which calls for women’s equal participation in peacebuilding.

You can play a role in making women count for peace. Sign the Say NO petition today asking governments to take three simple steps to make SCR 1325 a reality for women.

Your voice CAN make a difference by sending a powerful statement to the UN Security Council as they consider how to accelerate the implementation of SCR 1325 in October this year.

Say NO will bring you the voices of women peace activists and the Open Day events as they unfold.
Sincerely,

The Say NO Team
